Your Period and Your Health
Share
Every woman’s period is different. However, you have to pay attention to what is normal about your menstruation so you can prevent major period health problems.
What does heavy period flow mean
Heavy period flow means you are losing more red blood cells which can lead to iron-deficiency anemia. If you feel like there’s something wrong whenever you have your menstruation, consult your doctor immediately. This includes feeling fatigued, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat and skin looking pale.
Early period
The usual period comes after 21-35 days. If you have your period less than 21 days, check with your doctor. This could be a sign of something underlying.
Missed or late period
It is normal to miss your period when you’re close to menopause. It could also just be your body’s response to stress or changes in your eating or exercise habits. However, it can also be a sign of a larger issue. See your doctor to prevent major period health problems.
It is important to be informed about what your period says about your health. Every woman’s cycle is different, that is why we recommend that you visit your doctor for any questions or confusions you have about your cycle. We also suggest that you track your cycle so you can detect any changes.
