How to properly take care of your reusable period pads

Our reusable period pads are suitable for women of all ages and can be used for regular menstruation, light bladder leakage, postpartum bleeding and skin issues with store-bought disposable period products. But how do you properly take care of your reusable period pads?

But how do we really maintain the quality of our reusable period pads? Here are the steps:

Rinse the reusable period pads using cold water as soon as possible to remove any discharge.

 Lather any natural laundry detergent. Don’t use harsh detergents on your reusable period pads.

 Soak in cold water for a minimum of 6 hours and maximum overnight. If you have super heavy flow, soak the reusable period pads for 48 hours. Change the water daily.

 Hand wash or machine wash the reusable period pads. 

 Dry the inside and outside of the reusable period pads, in the sun where possible.

After drying the reusable period pads, you simply have to fold them, pop it in a zipper bag, wet bag or pouch and deal with it again on your next period. Use the size and absorbency level you are currently using as a reference to begin your switch to reusable period pads.
